I will be using a foam stabilizer for this tutorial. You will bond this to the lining section of the pouch and stitch together.
Fabric external 12″ x 12″
Fabric internal 12″ x 12″
Binding 1.5″ x 3.5″ x 4
Binding 1.5″ x 27″ cut separately
Foam stabilizer, you can’t cut with cricut use your fabric piece as a pattern once cut. The foam I use is double side fusible.
Cut all the pieces out using your cricut maker. Fuse the two fabric sections against the back sides of the fabric. The using your sewing machine stitch lines down the fabric, stitching the two fabrics and foam together. There will be two fabric pieces on the foam.
Place your vinyl lettering to the fabric. Whichever side you want to be on the outside. Don’t forget that the flap will be folded up so have your lettering the correct way around. Don’t have you lettering too far at the top of the seam as we will be applying a binding there later.
Fold the corners up and sew them both down on the internal side of the box then bind all four to hide the seams
turn right sides out, add binding and your tray is complete
