The Pattern for this Butterfly Applique can by found on my Facebook Group to join follow this link. https://www.facebook.com/groups/405258636506758
The first thing you will do is print out the template.

Trace this pattern onto Heat and Bond or you could use the Heat and Bond that you can use in a printer if you don’t like to do this by hand.

Once you’ve traced your design onto Heat and Bond Do not cut around the marked line yet. First we need to adhere our chosen fabric to the heat and bond. Wait for the glue to cool down before cutting out your pieces.

Now we can cut on the line of the pattern this will help to reduce any fraying.
The pattern we created will be flipped so F become G and D and E are flipped on the pattern placement, If you want your appliques to be the right way around trace onto tracing paper and reverse the pattern then trace onto the heat and bond.
Mow we get to stick our pattern onto our main fabric. You could create a cushion, or an nice big zipper pouch with this design the possibilities are endless.
I score the Heat and bond paper with a sewing pin, take all the papers off.

Place the fabrics down onto the main piece and make sure that everything looks good. Once you are happy press the entire thing into place with an iron.
There you have it, one happy little butterfly applique.

you can leave the applique like this but i always like to thread paint or stitch over the top. Its completely up to you. If you are going to stitch over the top I highly recommend that you place some quilters batting underneath or press some medium weight woven stabilizer if you don’t want the bulk.
